Understanding search engine indexing and algorithm

Sunday, July 08, 2012

Search engines visit the website and crawl on the articles or content of a website. In your organic search engine optimization, you have to make sure that your content is 100% unique, well written with the correct grammar, and contains information useful to your audience. Another important thing to remember in your SEO is to put your links to relevant sites only and link your website to relevant articles only. Relevance is purely determined by the similarity of your niche. Relevance is specified in search engines algorithm.

Search engines send automated programs called robots, crawlers, or spiders to explore your content for real time indexing. Deep links are being explored in this manner. They continually explore other websites as they follow your outbound links. The crawlers rank your website content according to their algorithm as they collect the precise picture of the articles and all other information in the page. Spiders may find your website from directories or paid submission pages. Yahoo said it indexed at least 80% of the web. Google said it already indexed over 8 billion pages.

Organic search engine optimization has been employed as a strategy to keep the robots coming back to your site and index your content. This refers to the process of modifying a site to achieve higher rankings or appear in the first page of the SERPS. The key here is providing useful content and easy navigation. The content, SEO, and design always go hand in hand to attract traffic and robots.
